About Us

A Bit of Background

Solaya Huang, Laren Pritchard and Ashley Fazekas are 4th year journalism students at Mount Royal University. The idea came about after Huang had lost a family member to addiction. She quickly learned that sobriety is not a cut-and-dried process, and that relapses are more common than you think.

The more we all researched and talked to those around us, the more we saw issues and stigmas surrounding addiction, and just how far they go in society. Many people today have been impacted by addiction, or will know someone who has been affected by addiction. We wanted to create a resource for these people so that they can feel less alone, and know that there are ways to get help.
